Interesting: The CBO has scored the GOP bill - virtually no expansion of coverage.... no reduction in coverage costs, and while it doesn't increase spending, it reduces the budget LESS than the Dem bill... again, according to CBO estimates.

I would like to see a study done on people who have taken advantage of the COBRA reduction act and see if indeed insurance companies can make money at those levels-I have the best poss. coverage offered by my old company at the time and dental and I feel what I am paying now is a fair price for the service and care my family gets-

Kiss Your Freedoms Goodbye If Health Care Passes

Congress recognizes no limits on its power. It doesn’t care about the Constitution, it doesn’t care about your inalienable rights. If this health care bill becomes law, America, life as you have known it, freedom as you have exercised it and privacy as you have enjoyed it will cease to be.

Tomorrow, the House of Representatives will vote on a 2,000 page bill to give the federal government the power to micromanage the health care of every single American. The bill will no doubt pass. It will raise your taxes, steal your freedom, invade your privacy, and ration your health care. Even the Republicans have introduced their version of Obamacare Lite. It, too, if passed, will compel employers to provide coverage, bribe the states to change their court rules, and tell insurance companies whom to insure.

We do not have two political parties in this country, America. We have one party; called the Big Government Party. The Republican wing likes deficits, war, and assaults on civil liberties. The Democratic wing likes wealth transfer, taxes, and assaults on commercial liberties. Both parties like power; and neither is interested in your freedoms. Think about it. Government is the negation of freedom. Freedom is your power and ability to follow your own free will and your own conscience. The government wants you to follow the will of some faceless bureaucrat.

When I recently asked Congressman James Clyburn, the third ranking Democrat in the House, to tell me “Where in the Constitution the federal government is authorized to regulate everyone’s healthcare”, he replied that most of what Congress does is not authorized by the Constitution, but they do it anyway. There you have it. Congress recognizes no limits on its power. It doesn’t care about the Constitution, it doesn’t care about your inalienable rights, it doesn’t care about the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights, it doesn’t even read the laws it writes.

America, this is not an academic issue. If this health care bill becomes law, life as you have known it, freedom as you have exercised it, privacy as you have enjoyed it, will cease to be.

When Congress takes away our freedoms, they will be gone forever. What will you do to prevent this from happening?

Come on Tommy. One, argue your own point. Two, it's ridiculous.

I guess when you make the kind of money Tommy does, buying your own healthcare is cheap and to hell with the rest of the poor slobs. Let them eat crumbs.

Ha ha ha...Really? So then I guess all the other nations that have government health care...Canada, Britain, Germany, Japan, France, Switzerland, etc....they also have lost all of their freedom forever?

Talk about hyperbole!

Saddest thing is, all the Glenn Beck fans and tea baggers who don't have two brain cells to rub together to think on their own and are not capable of an original thought buy into this kind of nonsense.

1. I agree with everything stated by the Honorable Judge Napolitano

2.My practices health insurance premium for next year is going up 12%,,, I'm paying 19K for a family plan at $5000 deductable,,, so don't lecture me on freakn' eatn' cake!!!

I'm sorry folks... I don't buy that government can do it better,,, we have a shit load of problems with health care cost,,, but it ain't due to health care,,,, it's due to government.

You have your head up your arse if you think otherwise. .... with all due respect... :?:

I agree that government can't do it better. But they can do it different. But these ridiculous scare tactic ideas that if we go to a government run/regulated health care system, we are "giving up all of of freedoms" or..."becoming socialist' and all is just pure nonsense.

Who's a teabagger? - the Swiss system is entirely private, with the government susbsidizing the poor so they can buy PRIVATE insurance plans. Similar model in Germany and France.

True facts will further your arguement. Incorrect statements will weaken it

Yes you're right, I should have checked those countries before I listed them, so your correction is noted. Still....each of those countries does in fact have some form of government supplement and they all have government regulations - crazy scary socialist concepts that make Glenn Beck tremble in fear and cry and scream that Obama wants to DESTROY OUR COUNTRY and TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM!!!!!! It's pure theatrical scare tactic nonsense.

You don't know who the teabaggers are?

Try again. Germany has a majority government plan provided by the government.

"Currently 85% of the population is covered by a basic health insurance plan provided by statute, which provides a standard level of coverage. The remainder opt for private health insurance, which frequently offers additional benefits. According to the World Health Organization, Germany's health care system was 77% government-funded and 23% privately funded as of 2004.[3]

The government partially reimburses the costs for low-wage workers, whose premiums are capped at a predetermined value. Higher wage workers pay a premium based on their salary. They may also opt for private insurance, which is generally more expensive, but whose price may vary based on the individual's health status."
