Had this at Wednesday 501 club..........which was actually held at 430 on Monday.....but whateve, haha

  • 2004 Fall Line Winery Destiny Ridge Vineyards - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills (11/2/2009)
had this bout a year and a half ago and it's still rockin. On the nose when 1st popped was grape jelly, but after about an hour and a half in the bottle and glass it was all currents, violets, blueberries, fresh green peppers, fresh cracked black and white pepper. On the palate it was silky smooth w/no holes at all throughout. Nice spicy oak and pepper finish. Some got a lil heat on the end but to me there wasn't anything out of balance. At the end of the glass we got a lil red licorice too which was nice bonus. Easy 90-91pt wine all day long. (91 pts.)

really integrating well after a year and a half since the last time I had. I see this improving for at least the next 5yrs! But hey....that's just one mans opinion......

Not the exact break down but aprox 40+% merlot, 30+% cab franc and 20+% cab sauv. A lot of plushness and blue fruits from the merlot and the green pepper and chalkyness and violets from the cab franc, maybe some currents and structure from the cab sauv. Great blend! I sure do love WA cab franc when done right!

They're having a release party this weekend. Looks like $25/bottle if you buy on saturday (regularly $30). I may just have to jump on in that.
