- 2005 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection - USA, California, Napa Valley (2/4/2010)
This could really have used at least an two hours in the decanter, but it was getting late and the host is impatient so it was popped and poured. Very smooth, well balanced wine with classic Cabernet flavors. Elegant and a little austere, it was just starting to open up more towards the end, about an 45 minutes after opening. Not as tannic as I expected, there's no reason to wait on this one. (94 pts.)
